Getting a crown doesn’t always have to be a multiple visit process. With advancements in dental technology, dental restorations are now available in a single office visit thanks to a chairside economical restoration of esthetic ceramics, also known as CEREC®. A CEREC® crown is made up of ceramic or resin and is forged right in the office. These types of crowns tend to be stronger than a traditional crown because they are composed from a single block of material. Also, the use of three-dimensional imaging makes manual teeth impressions a thing of the past. Restorations created with CEREC® are designed to perform like your natural teeth.

If you thought that getting a same day crown restoration would cost more, think again. CEREC® will not cost any more than a traditional crown.

And for our out-of-town patients, CEREC® is an ideal, time-efficient alternative to a traditional crown, and provides same day turnaround with no follow-up appointment necessary.

CEREC can be used for a single tooth or for multiple teeth. But as a general rule, this procedure is better-suited to patient who don’t require more than a few restorations.

Each mouth  is different. So it is important to know that CEREC® cannot be used to treat every case.
